10 months after he went abroad to seek medical care on account of an air crash involvement, Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba State returned yesterday to Nigeria, amid wide jubilation in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
The aircraft, a Hawker 800, which brought Suntai touched down at 3:40pm at the Jalingo Airport. Human and vehicular movement was disrupted for about 2 hours amid tight security, as his convoy made for the Taraba state house.
Suntai’s 10-month absence has led to the emergence of a new and polarised Taraba. It is yet to be seen if he has the vitality to assume the driver's seat as governor to give the state robust leadership.
