Governor Babatunde Fashola’s Father Dies

Mr. Ademola Fashola, the father of Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, is dead. He died on Monday morning, few days to his 80th birthday.

Last year, he was flown to the United States for medical treatment in the heat of the Lagos doctors’ strike.

The Special Adviser to the governor on Media, Mr. Hakeem Bello, who was on lesser hajj with the governor in Saudi Arabia, confirmed the death to journalists in Ikeja via telephone. Governor Fashola is expected back home from Saudi Arabia. RIP.
