Former Abia Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu's sprawling estate, named Camp Neya, comprises of several exotic buildings and state of the art decor. It is named after his daughter, Neya Uzor Kalu. It was built in 1998 at Uzor Kalu's hometown- Igbere, Bende LGA in Abia State.
Camp Neya, which is in a class of it's own, houses over 400 rooms comprising of over 36 jumbo sized sitting rooms, 12 room presidential lodge, Governors lodge for all the 36 states and FCT. A 5000 capacity conference hall, a banquet hall, a Karaoke hall, 22 Kitchens, 102 toilets, 76 Bathrooms and 187 bedrooms.
This one is destined to end up as a hotel in the future, I presume. Hold your breath, that's not all!
It also includes a golf course, a football pitch, an olympic sized swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool, basketball court, lawn tennis court, sports centre, a church, a mosque, a bush bar, a filling station, ATM machines, a clinic, children's recreation centre, an ICT centre, several gardens, a police post and a military detachment.
