Story of Christian the Lion
Posted on 09:37 by Unknown
If you have never seen the absolutely delightful story of Christian the lion, this is a must-see. If you have, this heart-warming tale is always worth another watch.
In 1969 John Rendall and Ace Berg bought a lion cub from Harrods, after they were upset by the cramped conditions he was living in. They became the best of friends as Christian the lion grew up in London.
They kept Christian in their flat, exercised him on local church grounds, took him on trips to the countryside and were inseparable until Christian got too large to remain in the UK.
So with heavy hearts, they transported Christian to Africa. Soon he adapted to the wild and became the leader of a pride in Kenya. John and Ace were told it was unsafe to visit him – but they went anyway. Watch the video above to see what happened when they were reunited.
